Warranty –  Mt Hood Eye Care, Gresham, offers a one-time, one-year warranty per purchase on all our full-priced frames and lenses within the manufacturing guidelines.  Normal wear is not covered under the warranty.  Not sure if your situation is covered? Come say hi, we are happy to help.

Repair and Adjustments – Uncomfortable glasses? Lens popped out? Got a screw loose?  We have the equipment and the know-how to make most eyeglass repairs on site.

Contact Lens Recycling –  Mt Hood Eye Care aims to reduce the environmental impact of used contact lenses, blister packs, and top foil through our recycling program. To prevent microplastics in our environment and to keep them out of our local water, please drop them off, and we will recycle them for you.

Understanding Fees –

Contact Lens Fitting fees are associated with the assessment of the fit of a medical device per regulations.  The State of Oregon requires contacts to be evaluated annually to ensure corneal health is not compromised.  Depending on the complication of the contact lens design, the fee may range.  In most cases, a set of free trial soft contacts will be supplied with your contact lens fit.

Retinal Photos – Imagery can aid the doctor in evaluating your eye health.  Retinal photos can be used to screen for disease as well as monitoring a disease. Depending on the medical need for photos, you or your insurance may be billed for imagery.  We offer a complimentary screening photo in lieu of dilation for your first routine eye exam.   Thereafter, if you prefer a photo instead of dilation, we will charge a fee of $25.

Refraction – Refracting, better known as the ones and twos, is the art of finding the perfect prescription for you.  You may see this on your line item when we bill your insurance.

Refraction re-checks – Not seeing as well as you think you should with your new glasses? We will check the prescription for you at no charge within the first 90 days of you receiving your glasses, and, if needed, replace your lenses for you.
